butterflies

Elizabeth and I made this cake and these mini cupcakes for Catherine’s birthday. We brainstormed, then Liz did the baking, I did the decorating. Made the butterflies myself. It was funnn. :)
Oh yeah, and Catherine laughed and blew out the middle candles by accident. Oops. Silly girl.

And I think my favourite part, besides the rainbow chip, is the blue icing surprise in the middle.

Also, last night I finally made time to put together the scrapbook page I’ve had in my head for the last couple of months. Its the lyrics to a song by Bosc called Evolve—one of the prettiest love songs I’ve ever heard.

I came across this artist’s blog just last week. Now I’m seeing her in random places. She knows how to add sunshine to any day. I have an art crush. Inspiring to see people the same age as me making cool things.

I want to take a cue from people like Katie Sokoler and Danielle Thompson, who balance out their bad days with a mix of pretty and colour!
