march

This was the view from my back veranda two years ago yesterday. March is the month when tons of ice pans come down from up north and spread across the ocean. It's amazing to see.

 But it's not here this year. Not yet. I'm still holding on to the hope that these glorious chunks of ice will make its annual visit.

girls nights.

 I'm thankful for these girls. Without them high school lunch breaks would have been awfully boring. I'm glad that we still make time to hang out, and that our relationships with each other never change even if months separate our visits.

butterflies

Elizabeth and I made this cake and these mini cupcakes for Catherine’s birthday. We brainstormed, then Liz did the baking, I did the decorating. Made the butterflies myself. It was funnn. :)
Oh yeah, and Catherine laughed and blew out the middle candles by accident. Oops. Silly girl.

And I think my favourite part, besides the rainbow chip, is the blue icing surprise in the middle.
